SLIFE strategies shared in South Dakota

Listen to the SDPB radio interview with Dr. Watson

Dr. Jill Watson led three workshops last week in South Dakota. Teachers, Administrators, and ESL Specialists across the state joined her at workshops in Watertown, Mitchell and Huron thanks to the Department of Education. She shared the background and history of Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education (SLIFE) education in Minnesota, and some strategies that teachers could use right away in the classroom to help support our students who have had significant gaps in their education.

South Dakota Public Broadcasting’s Lori Walsh interviewed Dr. Watson on the midday radio show, “In the Moment.”
